In a bright yellow box, Better Morning Blend, like mornings themselves, is hard to ignore. Good thing it tastes great.
Some of us just aren't morning people.
In fact, some of us really aren't morning people, and never will be.
Other others of us have children, jobs that start early and lengthy commutes, and, well, we just have no choice about facing the morning. And when laying in bed for another five hours minutes isn't an option, we have a little sachet of tea for you to try.
And (you might want to sit down for this piece of news), it's caffeine free. You read that right!
Our Better Morning Blend is one of our three "Better Being Teas," all of which are herbal tisanes meant to help you live a better life. (The term "tisanes" indicates a tea-like infusion that's not actually make with leaves from the tea plant, camellia sinensis.)
So, how can a caffeine-free tea help you wake up in the morning? Better Morning Blend is an energizing combination of lemongrass and peppermint to stimulate the senses, while aromatherapy from lime and lemon help any you feel fresh. Our founder and CEO, Richard Rosenfeld, spent the better part of a year working with a trusted herbalist to create effective wellness teas that would taste good while they improve your life.
Back when Richard was contemplating what kinds of teas needed to be added to our lineup, he chose medicinal blends because, as he puts it, "Medicinal teas are the fastest growing tea segment. We really wanted to offer some herbal teas that were both complex and interesting, and address medicinal concerns."
But what kind of problems would our wellness teas address? Go ahead -- take a look in the tea aisle of your local supermarket, and you'll see great examples of medicinal teas that tackle everything from weight loss to sore throats, clear skin and constipation (yup, I wrote that). While wellness teas can obviously be highly personalized to whatever you're looking for, what Richard wanted to do was start by offering teas that everyone can relate to: teas that are useful for getting up in the morning, soothe stomachs after eating, and help us get to sleep at night.
And it's a good thing he did -- since these teas were introduced in April of 2010, we've heard from many different tea lovers who now can't imagine their mornings, noons or nights without our Better Being Blends.
But hey, anti-morning people: I'm not going to tell you to switch from your typical tankard of coffee in the morning to Better Morning Blend. Some of you are pretty seriously addicted to caffeine! And that's fine. But if you're looking to cut back, or caffeine just doesn't do it for you anymore, give this blend of lemongrass, peppermint, stinging nettle and rose hips a try. As we say on the box, if you decide you're a morning person, it'll be our little secret.
